A breakaway from the traditional women’secret style. One of those special treats that accessory designers come up with from time to time. A really romantic jewellery box lined with a floral fabric that reminds us of those our grandmothers used to have.
And of course, we think it’s absolutely gorgeous! We love the idea that flowers are back in fashion – they’re so spring-like!
And we’ve spotted another fabulous item in the same collection; another curiosity for those that love the kind of things that not everyone appreciates: A pack of stockings that brush the thighs with these season’s hot polka dot motifs.
And the cutest thing of all is that they come with a garter belt complete with a pocket for hiding the odd secret that is bound to surprise your partner.

In Madrid, where our central offices are located, the weather is simply dreadful. And just like in the rest of Spain and Europe, it’s been that way for some days now. But here, we’re not used to such low temperatures, so much snow and so much rain, at least for so many days on the trot. So this morning we’ve decided to tell you how to keep out the cold this winter but without giving up on fashion! And we’ve found some really cute items.
How about a woollen cover for your headphones? They’re simply fabulous and can be ordered in a range of colours with or without ear flaps. They’re by Late To The Revolution.

We adore Valentine’s Day because it’s a day when we’re not afraid to say “I love you”.
Some people can’t seem to stop saying it, but for some of us it takes all our courage to utter those three little words. But sometimes tragedies occur which shake up the collective conscience, making us realise just how much it takes us to tell those near us how much we love them. Today is a great day to tell your boyfriend how much you enjoy sharing those special moments with him, to thank your workmate for greeting you with a smile when you walk into the office everyday or to send your mother some flowers for being the only person that will always, always pick up the phone.
We hope that today will be a special day for each and every one of you, filled with love – whatever kind of love you may wish for ;)

We’re offering you a sneak preview of the spring season trends. It got off to a great start last spring but this year it’s most definitely the must-have vintage trend for spring. Our trip back in time to the 1970s has brought about a new lease of life for liberty prints: the most authentic version of true hippy style.
We’ll be seeing a thousand and one variations on the floral print theme. And we’ll be seeing them on all types of garments too. For the time being, we’re offering you a taste of what’s to come with these three sets that have revamped the liberty print theme on a range of colour backgrounds. A romantic country style that’s the perfect choice for when the fine weather arrives.

There are a thousand and one ways of celebrating Valentine’s Day. We’ve come up with Love Spot, a special collection created for you to experience the day anyway you choose.
This year we’ve also included a fun pack designed for those girls without a partner who love their single lifestyle!! The idea is simple: our Single’s Kit comes with a red band for the most daring single girl. This is a game for girlfriends to find out who’s the boldest amongst you. The challenges may include asking that hunky neighbour for some salt, setting up a blind date on a dating website, writing a note to a stranger in a bar or calling your ex.

They look like photos, but they’ve actually been drawn using a blue Bic biro. Amazing, aren’t they? Pictures of everyday items drawn on white canvas, some in poster size.
They’re by Juan Francisco Casas, a young Cuban artist whose works are causing a buzz, and not just in Spain. His latest works are currently on display in Madrid, at the Fernando Padilla Gallery (C/Claudio Coello, 20).

Just a little effort was all it took to help get this great project off the ground. Once again, w’s decided it can do something to help others. So, in November 2009, and together with other brands in the Cortefiel Group, we organised a charity market in Madrid. In just a few days we managed to raise a grand total of 17,605 euros! On this occasion the money raised was donated to NGO Naya Nagar, which is financing the Mera Parivar food and education project (Mera Parivar means ‘my family’ in Hindi). The money will also go towards setting up a project providing training for health professionals in nursing and nutrition for babies.

Our hearts are with all the victims of the Haiti earthquake.
The situation is critic so some of the NGOs working on the country have already set up bank accounts to take donations to help all devastated communities. Grupo Cortefiel (the company that owns women’secret) usually collaborates with Fundación Lealtad, that has sent to us a full list of NGOs you can make a donation to. Because each and every one of us can make a difference!

Look at the shadows projected onto the wall in the images we’ve found for you here. Then look at the sculptures the light is focused on. That’s right; it’s masses of scrap iron, rubbish and other everyday items that have been picked up from the streets of London and carefully arranged so that when light is shone on them, they create the shadow of figures that are radically different from the original sculptures that cast the shadows.
