WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
The rain has arrived along with the cooler air, and this means that it’s time for urgent measures to get a clear idea of what you’re going to wear this season. Fashion is like a huge treasure chest of surprises. The winter 2008 treasure chest! Open it up… what do you see? Colours like black, flaming red, bright blue, purple, yellow, white, earth tones, shiny colours and ethnic, classic and geometrical prints… Aren’t there any rules? There are infinite fabrics: sophisticated or natural, simple or sensual, novel textures. And what about the garments? Filmy skirts, shorts, pipe-leg trousers, fur vests, long jerseys, high waists, evening gowns, trainers. You can find reminders of the 1950s alongside other periods. When you’ve taken a look at all this, you think: I’m going to go mad! Here’s our answer: Perfect!
Our two cents is that as fashion becomes more and more global and timeless, and as references to films, figures, periods, cultures and the like multiply, your own personal touch becomes even more important. What are the wardrobe diaries on Flickr telling us? That what’s truly “in” is devising your own personal combination of things new, sophisticated, low-cost, chic, whatever you have in your wardrobe, and, and, and… Does anything go? Yes, but not just any which way: it has to be your way. So for this winter we’ve got homework: to try, play, investigate and discover a little more via fashion. Where to begin? With your undergarments, of course, at www.womensecret.com/Store/.
