Bimba – a committed collection

BIMBA – A COMMITTED COLLECTION

This is an initiative between Bimba Bosé, women’secret and the Spanish Cancer Association (AECC). The Bimba collection, designed jointly by women’secret and the model, was launched this week to dovetail with the 19th of October, World Breast Cancer Day.

We really liked Bimba’s creations. The black lingerie pieces are extremely sensual, showing off a sensual body with lightness. The Prince of Wales checked pyjamas and accessories for showing plenty of personality are also originals: beret, scarves and moccasins. An aesthetic entirely in black and white, somewhere between sexy and androgynous, very Bimba. Proceeds will be earmarked to the struggle against breast cancer.

Working with Bimba was a fantastic experience because of her vital, spontaneous spirit, which is quite catching. Plus, we are enthused that women’secret has kept with the idea of not just making clothing, but also tending to these important issues.

In this case, we are supporting breast cancer prevention, a disease that affects young women every day, by contributing economically to spreading information and treatment of the disease. It’s a hard battle, as 16,000 women are diagnosed in Spain every year, but we’re learning: early diagnosis is saving more lives every day.

The Bimba collection is at women’secret shops in Spain and at www.womensecret.com.
