A breakaway from the traditional women’secret style. One of those special treats that accessory designers come up with from time to time. A really romantic jewellery box lined with a floral fabric that reminds us of those our grandmothers used to have.
And of course, we think it’s absolutely gorgeous! We love the idea that flowers are back in fashion – they’re so spring-like!
And we’ve spotted another fabulous item in the same collection; another curiosity for those that love the kind of things that not everyone appreciates: A pack of stockings that brush the thighs with these season’s hot polka dot motifs.
And the cutest thing of all is that they come with a garter belt complete with a pocket for hiding the odd secret that is bound to surprise your partner.

In Madrid, where our central offices are located, the weather is simply dreadful. And just like in the rest of Spain and Europe, it’s been that way for some days now. But here, we’re not used to such low temperatures, so much snow and so much rain, at least for so many days on the trot. So this morning we’ve decided to tell you how to keep out the cold this winter but without giving up on fashion! And we’ve found some really cute items.
How about a woollen cover for your headphones? They’re simply fabulous and can be ordered in a range of colours with or without ear flaps. They’re by Late To The Revolution.

We’re offering you a sneak preview of the spring season trends. It got off to a great start last spring but this year it’s most definitely the must-have vintage trend for spring. Our trip back in time to the 1970s has brought about a new lease of life for liberty prints: the most authentic version of true hippy style.
We’ll be seeing a thousand and one variations on the floral print theme. And we’ll be seeing them on all types of garments too. For the time being, we’re offering you a taste of what’s to come with these three sets that have revamped the liberty print theme on a range of colour backgrounds. A romantic country style that’s the perfect choice for when the fine weather arrives.

The news is out: the 80s are back in style. Quiffs, shoulder pads, gloss, neon tones, skinny leg trousers and of course, underwear that can be seen from the outside. But most interestingly of all, if you take a look around you, this trend is not only popular with those of us that are reliving those fabulous years for a second time, but also with girls who weren’t born in the 80s (those original 80s, we mean).
The other day, one of our regular bloggers raised the question about the difference between trends and fashion. She came to the conclusion that trends are only for the most daring, whilst fashion is what we all wear when the trend has spread. So it’s official: the 80s are very definitely back in fashion.

A few years ago it was considered fashionable for mums and daughters to dress alike. Mums wanted their little girls to look just like them. A trend that eventually disappeared but is now back in fashion. That’s the thing about trends – they come and go, driving us crazy. And now, all the luxury fashion brands have jumped on the band wagon, and are producing identical styles for big and little girls.
But here at women’secret we’ve always believed that offering mums the chance to share a few looks with their little ones is ‘kinda cute’. Many of our adult collections are reflected in the collections designed for little girls. Put your hand up if you’ve never scratched the parquet flooring with your big sister’s high heels? Who’s never got their mum’s lipstick all over the sofa? After all, imitation is an essential part of growing up. I watch and copy. Watch and copy.

Did you know that 70% of women don’t know their bra size? At women’secret we know how important proper support adapted to our needs is for our health. A wide variety of models, shapes, cups and initiatives like “Discover your size” all help us to choose the bra that best fits our body.

What is The Sartorialist?
A fashion blog and a bottomless source of inspiration for amateur designers from all over the world (it gets more than 23,000 hits per day).
What can you find there? Intensive street fashion with fantastic photographs and delightful comments from cities like Rio, N.Y., Moscow, Florence, Milan and Paris.
Who’s behind it? Scott Shuman, N.Y., 39 years old. He used to work in haute couture marketing (Valentino, Gaultier) and is now a journalist and photographer covering catwalks and sending posts to Style.com and his blog.
How did it start?
He began in September 2005 by taking pictures of people he thought were interesting.
Why do you like it?
He is a discerning, meticulous observer. He discovers the different ways of dressing stylishly outside the classic references (magazines, advertising, TV). He scrutinises real-life fashion: the woman running through the theatre aisle, the group chatting as they leave a catwalk, the painter at the exhibition, not just the one showing his works but also the one retouching the paint on the walls…
His goal?
“To capture the perfect look”

Fashion is like a huge treasure chest of surprises. The winter 2008 treasure chest! Open it up… what do you see? Filmy skirts, shorts, pipe-leg trousers, fur vests, long jerseys, high waists, evening gowns, trainers. You can find reminders of the 1950s alongside other periods.
